Thank you for choosing Jeepa Travel Sikkim. This policy outlines the steps and requirements for booking your journey with us. We aim to make the process transparent and straightforward so you can focus on your upcoming adventure.

1. The Booking Process

Your first step in the travel process begins with a consultation, where we discuss your interests, travel dates, and group size. Once we agree on a customised itinerary and price:

  • We will send you a formal trip proposal and invoice.
  • Your booking is officially confirmed only after we receive the initial deposit and issue a booking confirmation receipt.
  • All bookings are subject to availability at the time of the deposit.

2. Required Documents for Permits

Sikkim is a sensitive border state, and many popular destinations (such as North Sikkim, Tsomgo Lake, and Nathula Pass) require government-issued permits. To process these, we require the following from each traveller:

  • A clear copy of a valid government ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport).
  • Recent passport-sized photographs (digital copies are usually sufficient for early processing).
  • Residential address and contact details.

Please ensure these documents reach us at least 7 to 10 days before your arrival. Jeepa Travel Sikkim is not responsible for tour delays or cancellations caused by missing or late documentation.

3. Payment Schedule

To secure your hotels, vehicles, and guides, we follow a structured payment plan:

  • Booking Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total tour cost is mandatory to confirm the booking.
  • Final Balance: The remaining 50% must be paid at least 15 days before your tour begins, or as specifically mentioned in your invoice.
  • For last-minute bookings (made within 10 days of travel), full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

4. Group and Custom Bookings

For large groups, corporate retreats, or highly specialized luxury tours, the deposit requirements may vary. We will clearly state any unique payment terms in your specific trip proposal.

5. Information Accuracy

It is your responsibility to provide correct names, ages, and ID details. Any mistakes in the provided details can lead to permit rejection by government authorities. If we have to re-apply for permits or change hotel bookings due to incorrect information, any additional costs will be the traveller’s responsibility.

6. Special Requests

If you have specific needs regarding dietary restrictions, physical mobility, or room preferences, please inform us during the initial planning stage. While we will do our best to accommodate these requests, they are subject to local availability in different parts of Sikkim.
