The old bunker attached to the original shrine adds significant historical depth to the visit. Continue to Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake) at 12,400 ft, a sacred glacial lake ringed by steep mountains, where yaks can often be spotted near the shore. Reach Gangtok in the evening.
